Poster Feedback

This is a screenshot of are final poster for QueensDown Warren which we uploaded onto facebook in order to receive feedback from our target audience. Those that commented on the poster were analytical in there feedback which gave us postive and contructive critism in order for us to go away and correct anything that is needed.

In addition to this we asked others what they also thought:

Vicky, 16:
The question asked if this poster appealed to her, how it made her feel and what she thought it represented and this is what she replied:

"The film poster definitely appeals to me and my age group as you can clearly see that the main character is a teenager, therefore making her feelings and emotions relatable for me as a viewer which is important to maintain the attention of the viewer"

"The dark edges that lead into the lighter centre creates a vibe of fear and foreshadows the idea that something bad will happen, this is also shown by the two dark figure behind the victim. It makes the girl look vulnerable as they are creeping up on her."

The feedback is all very postive from Vicky which highlights to us that the poster was effective in what we tried to get across.
We as a group decided to add dark edges to the poster and this was commented on by Vicky which helps used justify and for us to feel confident in our decisions for doing this. The dark edges were there to show that the men are closing in on the victim.

Jack, 18:

"The poster appeals to me because from the red font and dark image you can tell that it is a thriller which is my favourite genre"

"The poster makes me feel on edge as you can tell that something bad is going to happen to the girl during the film because of the two men in the background look intimidating and stronger than the girl"

Simon, 53:
"should be a separtion from the figures in the background and the girl's head.
very good, wouldnt look out of place with other professional thriller film posters. Focus draws down the bottom of the page and onto the girl"

The first point of feedback from Simon gives us constructive critism of the posisitioning. When looking back I think its safe to say the postion of the men could be brought backwards slightly. If we did this the effective would be even greater as it would show the figures havent got to the victim yet.

Additional comments from others were:

"Attracts attention"
"Gives a feeling of mystery and suspence"
"Makes you want to know what is going to unfold in the film"
"Complies coventions"
"The title draws you into the main focus of the girl then from that attention goes to the men in the background"
